I'm Vance Serania, a photographer and videographer who thrives on visual storytelling. Whenever I can, I take on freelance work after school, constantly pushing myself to refine my craft. My passion for filmmaking began at a young age, deeply rooted in my family’s creative background surrounded by sculptors, sketch artists, and designers, pursuing a creative path felt inevitable, almost like it was in my blood.
From early on, I realized I had a deep love for telling stories and capturing emotions visually. This curiosity led me to explore different artistic forms, starting with designing clothes and wearable art as a way to express ideas beyond words. Soon, I gravitated toward photography, initially using my phone but quickly upgrading to my own Sony camera to capture higher-quality images. It wasn’t just about taking pictures it was about freezing moments, conveying moods, and shaping perspectives.
Everything changed when I started my media course in high school and was introduced to videography. Learning about cinematography, lighting, mise-en-scène, and editing with software like Adobe Premiere and DaVinci Resolve opened up a whole new world for me. I fell in love with the process of crafting moving images, experimenting with short films and music videos to bring my ideas to life. This passion only grew stronger as I started taking on freelance work, diving into various styles of filmmaking from working with brands like Rolls-Royce and KIA Motors to sports videography in boxing and creative shoots for fashion brands.
Through every project, I’ve come to realize that filmmaking is more than just a skill for me it’s a language, a way to translate emotions and ideas into something tangible. I want to keep expanding my knowledge, honing my craft, and pushing creative boundaries while I’m still young. This isn’t just a career path; it’s a lifelong pursuit, and I’m excited to see where it takes me.
